Brad and I are loving Owen's age....he's so fun right now. This kid is hilarious and animated and caring - it's a great combo. I wanted to share some of his favorite things with you....
Owen is true boy - he loves "caws" and "tucks" - he knows the word for every vehicle - motorcycle ("o-tiko"), helicopter ("aw-tu-chu"), airplane, car, truck, tractor, bike, etc. It's impressive. Not only does he speak vehicle, but he ALWAYS has a vehicle of some type in each of his hands. He loves driving them and flying them all over and he often gets "in the zone" where he's so focused on his toys that a tornado could blow through and he wouldn't even look up. WARNING: do not interrupt his focus suddenly or try to take his toys away....you have to ease on into that or he goes into freak out mode.
You can tell by the many swimming pics that Owen loves swimming, but really, he loves water in general. ("WA-DEE!!") He can entertain himself with the hose for hours and doesn't mind getting soaking wet.
And, of course, no list of Owen's favorite things would be complete without mentioning his pets. He LOVES Sooki ("Tooti"). She puts up with him as well, but she really has taken a liking to Bradley (it makes me giggle because Brad carries that little kitten around and claims that she "forces" him to). Owen loves the rest of the 4-legged children as well...he is completely at ease with big ol' Hurley. It's sad because with all of the animals around, one of Owen's games is to act like a kitty. He meows and crawls around....it's funny.... for now.
