Labor Day Camping Trip

Well, Labor Day camping was a success. Despite the almost 10 hour drive to Grammy & Grandpa's property, Owen was a trooper. He sat and watched movies, sang with me, played with his cars & trucks and chatted about the helicopter we stopped to peek at in some podunk town. When we finally got close to the campin destination, Hurley decided he was DONE and hopped over the seat, which made Owen freak out. So....we stopped at a small grocery store - Owen RAN up and down the aisles screaming. Bradley and I just laughed (awesome parenting) and we got lots of scowls and eye rolls.

Hurley and Twinkie were in Doggie Heaven. The two loved camping - Twinkie got lots of treats and cuddling, and Hurley got to patrol the area. At night, Heather was worried that a bear was outside her tent - it was just Hurley making the rounds, peeing on chairs, etc. Hurley felt appreciated...his slobber and hair weren't such a bother with all of the dirt.
Lucky for us, the incinerating toilet on the property was not going to sustain all of the waste....Grammy and Grandpa rented a porta potty. It was a special treat. I'll spare you the details, but did I mention that there were 25 of us?

Some Entertainin'. Never a dull moment!!
In addition to the wonderful tire swing, 4-wheelin', fishin', shootin', and horseshoes.......

(This one makes me laugh so hard.....Dad looks like a gorilla at the zoo). I will be in trouble for posting this, but it's so worth it!
SWEET camo sweats to go with the SWEET moves!

There were also GRAPES to entertain! We spent a good hour shoving grapes in our mouths and laughing our awesome a's off at how adorable we looked.

I had tears rolling down my cheeks....we even sang the Hooville song!

My favorite picture....Owen loved to RUN down the ramp and jump into Grammy's arms. He and Grammy did this for a while. I love it! Owen laughs when he sees this picture....so fun!
