I just want to start by saying how much I enjoy fall. It's my favorite season....I love the colors, the weather, the holidays....all of it. I've been a tad upset because the weather in Denver has been way too cold for fall. Last Saturday, we actually had snow and ice. This means that the leaves had to hurry and die, so the colors this year aren't as fabulous. But....there are still plenty of things to celebrate.
Since last year was so much fun, we made another trip to the Pumpkin Patch this year with the Aptt Family. Owen LOVES pumpkins and though it's a difficult word to say, he was nearly chanting it all day. He's been pointing out pumpkins on porches, so it was time that he picked one out for himself.
The weather was gorgeous and the boys had such a great time....the minute we left the parking lot, he was running. and exploring. They were too busy to really pose for pictures....I did my best, but Owen wouldn't hold still. They loved playing in the corn kernel pit (Brad was jealous), climbing the pumpkins, petting the poor animals, and sprinting through the mini corn maze.

The animals were a tad warm in the 70 degree weather (which made us wonder what they did in the dead of summer). Most were panting in the shade and looked either pregnant or fat....so, they were easy to pet. Owen displayed his courage by making quick, dainty "pats". His favorite animal was the pig and he was intrigued by the goats' horns.

They ran up and down the corn aisles and when they hit a "dead end", they'd just make their own path. At one point, Owen was even army crawling through the maze.

That looks like so much fun. Really wish we could have gone too. Addy would have loved running with cousin Owen.
